Pokemon Go : How to Fix “GPS Signal not Found” Error

If you are an Android device user and have not heard about Pokemon Go, then you are an alien for sure (pun, intended). Pokemon Go have already crossed biggies including Twitter in terms of active users on Android.
However, a lot of users (specially from Indian sub-continent) have reported that they are getting GPS Signal not found error when trying to play Pokemon Go. So if you want to resolve this issue called GPS signal not found, then you are at the right place.

We at TDC Labs in India resolved this issue GPS signal not found for Pokemon Go players on two devices namely Samsung Galaxy S5 and One Plus Three (running Oxygen ROM). This error occur because most of the modern day android devices come with GPS signal off by default. And for playing Pokemon Go with precision, it is needed.

Steps needed for fixing ‘GPS Signal not Found’

  • Navigate to Settings on your Android device.
  • Search of option “Privacy and Safety” and click on it.
  • On the next screen, click on ‘location’ option.
  • Now under ‘Locating Method’, select “GPS, Wi-Fi and Mobile Network”.
  • If you are unable to find the above, you can even search for it with settings.

Once you follow above steps, restart the Pokemon Go game on your device and it will no more show the GPS signal not found error. If it does, feel free to contact us for rapid resolution. So enjoy the game and collect maximum number of pokemons.

Update 1 (10 Aug 2016) : Many people with devices running Android Lollipop have confirmed that installing “Internet Speed Meter Lite” app helps in resolving ‘GPS Signal Problem’.

    Sorry, i tried many method but still not working. I even uninstalled it and then again installed it but I am still having the problem. I am from India and my device is Moto G3 . This worked for me.

    I have HTC desire 816 and GPS is in high frequency,then also pokemon go shows “GPS signal not found”.
    A simple restart resolved the issue.

    I m have htc desire 816 at location mode my GPS is in high accuracy mode but again I m faving same problem plz help me….

    Hey I am on redmi note 3 it still showing gps not found using 3g in india.

    Hello sir it doesn’t work.for me it still shows GPS not found I have LENEVO A6000 and I settled location mode on High Accuracy but doesn’t work and my Android version is 5.0.2 and I have also tried ABOUT PHONE then SYSTEM UPDATES and chkd for latest version but it says u r using latest version. WHAT SHOULD I DO !!
